Street walking in an elegant antique kimono with a modern taste
Kashiwaya stocks about 100 antique kimonos from the Taisho period to the early Showa period (1910's and 1920's) for rent. Their antique kimonos, free from synthetic fiber and chemical dye often used in modern kimono, are uniquely beautiful. Many of their kimonos are in bright colors and bold designs. The shop owner will advise you on the selection of your kimono carefully listening your requests and dress you with a polite, professional demeanor. The Street Walker's Plan allows you to wear a kimono of your choice for three hours. This plan is a very popular choice and reservation needs to be made two days in advance. Optional services such as make-up, hairstyling, traditional Japanese hairstyling, and photos by a photographer who accompanies you to tourist spots in town. Early reservations for these services strongly recommended in high season.
