Uedaya is located on a small hill in the Hirayama hot spa district away from the hubbub of the city. The inn owner renovated all the guestrooms in April 2018 and converted them to detached cottages. Located in a countryside, the eight cottages have guestrooms in a combined Japanese and western style and individual open-air hot baths with free-flowing hot spring water. The inn is proud of its baths, filled with water from an alkaline sulfuric spring with a pH of 9.8, which feels soft and thick. The restaurant serves Japanese course meals for lunch and dinner. The menu changes every day because the chef uses the best of the ingredients available on the day and the season. The restaurant has private rooms but an arrangement can also be made for guests who wish to have a meal in their room. The rooms and the restaurant are available for same-day use. A mini-swimming pool opens in summer. The inn offers something to enjoy all year round.
