Opened in April 2015, Bistro Neige is a restaurant for French-based cuisine and wine. All the food served here is additive-free and handmade, including bread, dessert, and small sweets. The chef uses kuroge (Japanese black) wagyu beef and aged pork for meat dishes, and handpicks fresh fish sold at the market. Most of the vegetables are from local sources, including the venue’s own garden of greens and herbs. Lunch starts at 1,500 yen, and dinner at 3,500 yen. The restaurant’s giant window looks out onto the area’s peaceful landscape, making guests forget the time. Their well-kept garden, which the chef maintains with great care, changes its expression with the seasons; guests can enjoy plum and cherry blossoms in the spring, azaleas and dogwood flowers in the summer, and fabulous foliage in the autumn.
